Sappland Microelectronics has always focused on the research and development of mid-to-high-end RF front-end devices. In this exhibition, it displayed a variety of high-performance RF filters such as TX/RX SAW filter series, TC-SAW series, PESAW series, PEBAW series, and RF front-end module series.Device products, all-round display of the company’s innovative technology and R & D strength.


In addition to the SAW series and TC-SAW series, Sappland Microelectronics mainly brought high-performance RF filter products such as PESAW series new products B28F, B25, and B3 to the exhibition. At present, Sappland Microelectronics takes SAW as the main technology path. For SAW, TC-SAW, PESAW and other technical routes, in terms of technology and materials, it continues to extend and layout, and optimizes the design of SAW devices to reduce the size without increasing the process. Next, the suppression of the lateral leaky mode is achieved by optimizing the interdigital parameters, and the Q value technology is stabilized. PESAW series products have applied for multiple patents, and the frequency can be extended to more than 3G. Next, Zuolan Microelectronics will continue to launch various high-performance index products to meet the needs of different customers.


Continue to accumulate technology and develop in the direction of miniaturization, high frequency and modularization


In the entire RF chip track, the RF front-end industry has a huge scale and a rapid market growth rate. As people’s requirements for mobile communications become higher and higher, full screens and mobile phones become thinner and lighter, high-frequency communications, and frequency resources are crowded. Higher requirements are put forward for the performance of filters, and filters that are suitable for high-frequency communications, have good thermal stability, small size, and high integration will be the main development direction in the future.


n terms of miniaturization, Sappland Microelectronics’ 1612 size B5 frequency duplexer has an input power of 31dBm, a typical value of TX insertion loss of 1.3dB, and a typical value of RX insertion loss of 1.7dB. The isolation performance is comparable to that of foreign brand manufacturers. The out-of-band rejection also meets the needs of the end market. The B5, B12, and B20 small-sized duplex products developed by Sappland Microelectronics all have excellent performances such as low insertion loss and high power.


In terms of high frequency, Sappland Microelectronics has continuously iterated and optimized its technology from SAW to TC-SAW to PESAW and PEBAW. The n78 PEBAW filter launched in 2022 is suitable for both 5G small base stations and Applied to high-quality 5G mobile smart terminals, it has the characteristics of small size, low insertion loss, good out-of-band rejection, and high power. Its passband frequency is 3400-3600MHz, the maximum input power reaches 33dBm, and it supports the operating temperature range from -40°C to +95°C. Among them, the package size of 1.4mm x 1.1mm is suitable for small base stations, while the smaller size of 1.1mm x 0.9mm can be applied to 5G mobile smart terminals.


In terms of modularization, the module products provided by domestic RF device manufacturers are basically low-integrated, and there are almost no product barriers. Therefore, Sappland Microelectronics continues to accumulate technology around market demand and hot spots, constantly overcome technical problems, and actively promotes highly integrated self-developed DiFEM module products.


Since 2022, Sappland Microelectronics has entered the modular “campaign” and launched two diversity antenna RF link DiFEM module products with integrated RF switches and filters – SPDM001 and SPDM003: the former diversity receiving module adopts LGA package, package size 3.2mm3.0mm; the latter diversity receiver module also uses LGA package, package size 3.7mm3.2mm. The two products have the characteristics of high integration, strong reliability, and support for CA carrier aggregation, and have been well received by customers in their applications.
